Let's Help Make the World a Better Place

People want to be heroes. Others simply do not care. Still others become pains in the neck. So which do you choose to be? If we want to make the world a better place, we start by choosing who we want to become. This may mean having to go against the regular, familiar norms.

When you choose to be a positive being, you choose love and kindness while all the others choose to envy, hate, and spread war. Have you noticed how easy it is to spread negativity than positivity?

How do you practice kindness and love in a world full of hate?

You start with what is visible. Do you see children on the streets begging for food? How much can you spare a week to buy them something to eat? How about that old man who walks barefoot on that hot pavement? I’m sure you got some spare shoes no longer use that could still fit him, don’t you think?

Voluntarily feeding the hungry and giving alms to the poor and needy is the start of changing the world from where you are. You do not need to wait to be filthy rich to lend a hand! I’m sure there’s something you can do at your level right now.

Make the world a better place by taking care of your environment.

You have the choice to conserve food, water, gas, energy, or anything that can be conserved. Instead of throwing away used paper, recycle them. Do not throw away plastic bottles or boxes; you can reuse them. Work on your creativity and you will have helped in preventing the planet from becoming a dump at least from where you are and where you go.

Choose to uplift others instead of tearing them down.

You don’t need to be famous or become someone important to be able to uplift or empower others. It can be as simple as being an inspiration to your family and friends by your speech and by the way you live. Spread this from your family and friends to your colleagues at work or at school. This will create a big impact and send a ripple effect to every other person your family, friends, and colleagues get in touch with.

Get yourself fit.

When you are fit and healthy, you get a better disposition. You don’t need to take your car anywhere you go, instead, take that opportunity to stretch your legs. Volunteer to help plant more trees and serve the community through free health checks.

You want to make the world a better place? Start from where you are with what you have. There is no need to be fancy or famous or rich in order to be a great influence to the world! You can be of service to humanity in your own way, respecting others’ individuality and views.
